It is with sadness but warm wishes that we announce the retirement of Executive Director Myles Miyasato.  His last working day was May 31, 2021. 

Myles, a 32 year Local 3 member, has been an integral part of the Hawaii Operating Engineers for the last 17 years.  He started out as the Big Island Representative, then became the Senior Compliance Representative before becoming the Executive Director.  We are indebted to his vision and commitment for taking us to the next level in the continued growth and success of this office.   Our construction industry has been positively impacted by our actions under Myles’ leadership. 

Although he will be missed, he has more than earned the right to spend more time with his loved ones.  Myles’ retirement is our loss but well-deserved for him and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
